MAC Peacocky Haul and Swatches

Hi everyone! Poor Katie, she has to endure another MAC post ;-) Anyway, I hauled away at the MAC Peacocky collection yesterday. Ok so I didn't go all out with this one. The eyeshadows were $19.50 each... pass. I also picked up a couple of other things I'd been meaning to get.

Left to right: Prance and Dalliance Eyeshadow

Left to right: Prance and Dalliance Eyeshadow

Both Prance and Dalliance swatch on me without fallout. I'd experienced some fallout with a couple of the shadows I didn't buy when I swatched in the store. Prance is a frosted mauve pearl. It's close in color to shale but lighter and frostier. Dalliance is a light golden/green pewter color. I can't think of any permanent colors this guy resembles.

I also picked up Nocturnal and Satellite Dreams. Love me some purple!

MAC Pressed Blot Powder in Medium. This runs a little on the lighter side.
After reading Karen's blog, I knew I had to pick up MAC Blot. Hope it's awesome!

Did you end up getting anything from this collection? Let me know in the comments!

Disclosure: I bought everything featured.

Upcoming 2011 MAC Collections: Wonder Woman, Surf Baby and more!

Hi everyone! Hope 2011 is going well for you so far! I just wanted to post a little MAC gossip that is around the web all in one place mostly for the crazed MAC fans and for me to keep track of what's coming up.

Upcoming MAC Collections:

MAC Viva Glam Gaga 2, February 2

As announced by WWD, MAC Cosmetics has signed on Lady Gaga to reprise her role as Viva Glam spokesperson for another year. The For Our Lips campaign was MAC AIDS Fund’s most successful to date, so it’s no surprise that we’ll continue to see Gaga for another year. Gaga was photographed by Nick Knight and styled by Nicola Formichetti.

I can't wait for the Surf Baby collection! The summer collections are usually my favorites. The packaging of the Wonder Woman collection is cute. I'm also intrigued by the peachy bronze color Lady Gaga seems to be wearing for the Viva Glam Gaga 2 Collection.

What do you all think?

MAC Peacocky Spring 2011 (with pictures!)

Here's yet another post Holiday collection from MAC. MAC's Peacocky Collection is a very colorful collection, hence the name. I'm digging the new lipgloss formula. I'm always on board for non-sticky glosses. Due to the price of the eyeshadows, I'm guessing they're as big as the ones that came out with the Tartan Tale collection. That's kind of a bummer since I love to de-pot eyeshadows. Also, what the heck MAC. You put out 15 something eyeshadows with this collection for dang near $20 a pop. That adds up to $318 with tax for me. I guarantee I wont go overboard with this one. Baby needs a crib.
What do you think of this collection? Will you be hauling?

MAC Peacocky Collection Spring 2011
U.S. Launch Date: January 6th, 2011

Arrogance or elegance? The showy display, the undeniably sexual spectacle, the iridescent irreverence…it’s awe-inspiring. We fetishize the exotic peacock as a symbol of extreme beauty, an act of elaborate nature, raging against everything simplistic. Peacocky fans out in a foray of intense colour for Lips and Eyes, exotic and sophisticated with a touch of ’30s F. Scott Fitzgerald glamour and mesmerizing metallic sheen. New Kissable Lipcolour combines full flash with creamy comfort. It’s molten, with elastomer technology that imparts a velvety, aerated feel without sacrificing shine. Light as a feather. Mega Metal Shadow gleams like chrome, with light-reflecting properties – yet creamy, crease-resistant, vitamin-fortified flexibility. Dramatic doesn’t even begin to describe the girl who knows she’s Peacocky.
