Pacifica Hawaiian Ruby Guava Body Wash Review

I'm always in the market for yummy smelling bath gels. Since I like Pacifica lotions so much, I thought I'd give their bath gels some attention. I picked up Hawaiian Ruby Guava to review.

What the Sephora website says about this bath gel:
Pacifica Hawaiian Ruby Guava Body Wash is a Sephora-exclusive must-have that purifies and pampers the skin with an infusion of natural ingredients and essential oils. Its fragrance is a sexy blend of sweet guava and bright pomelo, inspired by lingering hours in paradise watching the waves as tropical fruit notes and hints of coconut surf wax mingle with the breeze.

I was told by the sales person the lotions and the corresponding bath gels smell exactly alike in this brand. In the case of the Ruby Guava bath wash, the lotion smells better. This gel has a strong pomelo smell, which kind of overpowers the coconut and guava smell. A pomelo is related to the grapefruit, hence the gel smells like grapefruit. Smells nice and energizing.

Rocco likes the smell of it.

Many people complained this gel didn't give them tons of suds. While it's sulfate free, it does contain a sudsing agent from a coconut source. On a bath puff I found it didn't suds as much as I liked, but I didn't have to add more product to the puff. It's hard to describe, but it gave me a thin but consistent layer of suds throughout my usage of the gel.

More dislikes: I found the pump hard to use. I had to pump it 5 times to get the amount I desired. The gel doesn't leave a fragrance behind on the skin, and it doesn't moisturize like the packaging said.

This product is just ok. It left my skin clean and it's vegan, but I wouldn't bother repurchasing it.

Disclosure: I like to buy stuff so I bought this too. Wheeeee!
